Blue Mountains Small Group Discovery Tour

Luxury active touring including Featherdale Wildlife Park, and hiking to Wentworth Falls. Away from the crowd and touristy attractions. Discover the views, the towns, and the rainforests nestled within this pristine World Heritage Area.

What we do

  • We’ll stop at Featherdale Wildlife
  • We lead you to view though tea-tree forests, fern gullies, cave overhangs, and past a variety of lookouts to Wentworth Falls
  • Shop and dine at the village of Leura (Free Time) or enjoy take-aways at Gordon Falls Park.
  • Visit the Three Sisters lookout at Echo Point
  • Exit the Blue Mountains via Cliff Drive with its views over Narrow Neck Plateau and the Megalong Valley
  • Stretch those legs one more time to discover Cahills Lookout and Boars Head Lookout.

Our Blue Mountains small group tour includes Featherdale Wildlife Park which specializes in Australian native wildlife, a bushwalk or hike to waterfalls at Wentworth Falls, free time for lunch at Leura and the afternoon at Echo Point and Cahill’s Lookout.  We see the Jamison Valley, the Three Sisters, Wentworth Falls, Boars Head, Cahill’s Lookout, and the Megalong Valley.

Get up close and personal with koalas, kangaroos, dingoes, cassowaries and other native Australian birds and animals. Featherdale Wildlife Park is a small park specializing in only Australian animals. It’s at the edge of Sydney and has been established for over 50 years.

At Wentworth Falls we hike though tea-tree forests, fern gullies, a rain forest section, cave overhangs, and past a variety of panoramic views of the Jamison Valley.  The falls themselves are a delicate misty flow of water tumbling over three tiers of rocky outcrops.

For lunch, Leura Village offers charming cafes, restaurants and bakeries, we’ll stop and explore some of these and have a bite to eat, you may also take-away to the Gordon Falls picnic area with your guide.

We’ll drive through Katoomba then head on down to the Blue Mountains most famous lookout Echo Point which has the best close-up views of the Three Sisters. We have time to walk to the Three Sisters and to Honeymoon Bridge or relax at Echo Point and take in the scenery.  There is the Blue Mountains Visitors Centre, a small shopping complex and Bar NSW where you may take in some refreshments before we depart.

We do not stop or recommend large touristy crowded attractions and rides on this tour and promote the real attraction of the natural wonders and society of the Blue Mountains.   The walk requires a medium level of fitness, participants should be able to walk over uneven ground with some inclines and ascents.  Your guide will be able to organize some alternative routes and shortcuts for those taking it easy.  We assist people who may be unsteady or in need of rests along the way.  We’ll also let others move on quicker with some extra tracks or more time at the falls or lookouts along the way.

Private South Coast Tour

We’ll show you the famous views and destinations as well as some hidden gems. We’ll share stories from Sydney’s past and help bring modern Australian culture to life for you.

The South Coast Tailored for You

Enjoy the South Coast in style

Spend your day-your-way away from the crowds on a South Coast Private Tour along Sydney’s unspoilt South Coast.  From Royal National Park, to the Sea Cliff Bridge, and the Kangaroo Valley our experienced guides can show you the hidden gems of the South Coast.

We have three tours, a 6 or 8 hour as far as the Illawarra coast and and an 11 hour which includes a full loop through Kiama, Berry, the Kangaroo Valley and Bowral.

In 6 – 8 hours we can show you the Royal National Park, Symbio Wildlife Park, views along the Grand Pacific Drive, and the beaches of the northern Illawarra.

Over 11 hours – we can enjoy the views along Grand Pacific Drive on our way to the Kiama Blowhole, lunch in Berry and a return to Sydney via the Kangaroo Valley, Fitzroy Falls, and the villages of the Southern Highlands.

If you’ve already been to the Blue Mountains, or you’re really just more of a beach person, or maybe you just like to get to places most visitors miss, then a South Coast tour might be for you.

Royal National Park, the Grand Pacific Drive, and Beaches (6 or 8 Hours)

Most tours will begin with a visit to the world’s second oldest national park – The Royal National Park. We will wind our way through ancient forests and heathlands, ducking in to visit soft sand beaches hugged by rainforests and overlooked by sandstone cliffs.

We’ll enjoy the first of many sweeping coastal views from Stanwell Tops before joining the Grand Pacific Drive as it crosses the stunning Sea Cliff Bridge.

We’ll roll through the string of villages along the Illawarra Coast. We can stop for refreshments or lunch in Scarborough or Thirroul – possibly collecting take-away fish and chips for a seaside picnic.

This tour is about relaxing and enjoying the untouristed laid-back beach vibe of the Illawarra

Grand Pacific Drive, Kiama Blowhole, Berry, Kangaroo Valley & Southern Highlands (11 Hours)

On the full-day tour we’ll follow the Grand Pacific Drive to Stanwell Tops, over Sea Cliff Bridge and on past Wollongong to Kiama. There we visit the famous blowhole and enjoy a stroll through the high streets of this popular seaside town.

From here we turn inland. Our drive will wind through dairy lands to the country village of Berry – a good lunch spot. From here we drive on through stands of temperate rainforest and descend into a place which feels sealed from time – the Kangaroo Valley. We pass through this little village – the main street lined with old fashioned bakeries, a welcoming country pub, and a variety of shops.

Climbing out of the valley we’ll head for a view of the Fitzroy Falls in Morton National Park. Here, the Wides Meadow Creek tumbles a sheer 81 metres into the valley below.

Lastly, we’ll make a quick stop in either one of the Southern Highland villages – such as Bowral – or a cool climate vineyard, if a spot of wine tasting sounds like just the thing to round out your day.

Private Sydney Discovery Tour

One of the pleasures and advantages of private tours are that you can decide. It’s your day, your way. We are happy to build a bespoke itinerary for you to meet your interests. Or simply tweak the tour as we go.

Your Sydney Private half day tour starts at the time and location of your choosing. We will pick up you from your hotel, a private address, the airport, or cruise ship terminal.

Although we have a suggested itinerary – one of the pleasures and advantages of a private charter tour is that you can decide. It’s your day, your way. We are happy to build a bespoke itinerary for you to meet your interests. Or simply tweak the tour as we go to show you the places, we think you’ll like.

The City

We will drive through the city – having a look at Sydney’s oldest neighbourhood, The Rocks, and passing some of the monumental and historical buildings in the central city. We’ll stop for our first postcard-perfect view – at Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair. Here, as throughout the day – our driver is happy to act as photographer, allowing everyone to be in the picture without the need of a selfie-master.

The Eastern Suburbs

We’ll head east by way of the narrow Victorian streets of residential Paddington and a half-loop of Centennial Park. You’ll get a taste of the beach side suburbs and have the option of walking a portion of the Coogee to Bondi coastal path.

At Bondi Beach – you might choose to lunch at one of the many cafes, pubs, or restaurants, or perhaps get your toes wet in the mighty Pacific Ocean.

From here we continue north to Watsons Bay – stopping for sweeping city views and quiet, lesser visited, ocean views. We can walk to the South Head of the entrance to the Sydney Harbour and gaze across the harbour to Manly and the lower north shore. Or we can just enjoy an ice cream or cold drink while watching people come and go at the busy ferry terminal.

If you’d prefer to get the ferry back to the city, via Rose Bay, our driver will guide you to the wharf and help you sort out your ticket.

Otherwise, we make our return to the city by way of leafy Vaucluse, picturesque Rose Bay, and historical King’s Cross and Woolloomooloo. We will drop you off at your hotel or at another destination, as you prefer.

Alternative Destinations

On the 4-hour tour, alternative destinations might include a visit to The Northern BeachesFeatherdale Wildlife Park
